1. How to find the cache:
- you will need the directions/hints found at each stage in order to find the next stage.
- turn the snails over for assistance, then upright them when rehiding.
-coordinates are very bouncy in here, so hints are critical!
- you will save yourself time if you use the hints.
2. Special instructions:
- the park gate closes at dusk.
- the total loop walk will be just over 1 mile. You will have done 2/3 of the loop by the time you find the container, so it will be shorter to continue in the same direction. It will also take you past some types of habitat you have not seen so far on your walk.
- the waypoints are all within 15’ or less of the trail.
3. Some of the things I like about this place:
- it is a great place to bring the family and especially children. (Borrow some if you need to.) I have seen many of them here and they were all enjoying the walk and busy exploring the area.
- the informational signs are well done about a variety of topics. You may learn as much as the kids.
- it is a good place to see animals and their habitats. I have seen turtles, snakes, ducks, frogs, fish, newts, and many birds while visiting. There are also reports of larger animals such as beavers. You can explore nurse logs, ponds, marshes, streams, and amazing trees.
