The Wasatch-Cache Petroleum Showcase sits along the Wyoming- Utah stateline on the northern slope of the Uinta Mountains.
The showcase is an education and demonstration tool for the government,business,industry,environmental and civic organizations. It has fourteen stops along its tour, I`ve stashed a cache at #5 The Scenic Overlook. Its a old sign in box for the tank batteries, but it should work for this. I put alot of maps and info tablets from the forest service, some oilfield related things and a travel bug that wants to go to Denmark. Please leave the show case directions in cache so everyone can see where to go. Just take hwy410 south from Mtn. View to Lonetree the Loop Road. Along the way you`ll see all the signs that the forest service has put up. The reason I put a cache up here is that I`ve worked the rigs up here in the Uintas for years and thought this might be a awsome thing to do to honor my fellow workers. For it is beautiful up here and it does give you a good feeling while working up here. Hope you enjoy driving around the forest and there is a picnic area near the cache.
