This cache has been archived.

Pattycat: Sorry not sure I can get out since my vehicle isn't that well and I don't seem to have anyone that will take me out to any caches so this is now archived along with others I'm sure.

Thanks for all the visits and sorry for any inconvenience,
Pattycat

Geocache Description:

This cache is placed here for only one reason. The brat cat and his great hide.

One day when Rambleon, Darroid, Mr. Charlie, (the brat cat), and I were coming home from a camping trip we decided to stop for a wee break. Mr. Charlie wanted out of the vehicle so we decided it would be okay to let him out but of course we would have to really watch him. (As he likes to wonder).

So off he goes a wondering and the next thing you know he’s found himself a hole to go into which I’m sure is a critter hole but not necessarily for a house cat. We called him and called him and he would not come out. We had no idea how far the hole went underground and he had been in there for almost a half an hour (but it seemed like longer). We couldn’t see him at all, and by this time I was pretty upset. The boys decided to go get some more people and some shovels and such and I waited there. At least I had enough wits about me to ask them to leave a can of cat food and a blanket.

As I was sitting on the side of the road balling my head off and continually calling for Charlie, I decided to open the cat food and put it at the entrance to the hole. Well lo and behold not long after I did this out comes the cat. I was so happy to see him that I let him eat some food and then wrapped him up in the blanket, gave him a big squeeze, and started walking home. A stranger came along and gave us a lift in his truck which had a dog in it and Charlie was not impressed. I didn’t care; at least we were on our way home.

A short time later the boys arrived with tools and troops which obviously were not needed. So that is the tale of Mr. Charlie’s Hidey Hole and why I put a cache here. Hopefully I have successfully blocked this hole so no other house critter can get in there. And hopefully the critter that does use this hole doesn’t push the cache container out. It is blocked not only in the front of the hole with rocks but I had to put many rocks down inside the hole as it is very deep and I didn’t want the container to go down any further.

The starting contents in the usual Tupperware container are:

Pattycat’s Cache Kitty (B).
Dino’s Ball Puzzle (Stegosaurus).
2 - 4” x 6” Photo Frames.
Large cricket.
Red car.
Orange Happy Face key chain.
Wee penguin.
Geocaching pin.
Safety pins. Pattycat cloth.
Log book, pencils, and sharpener.

Thanks for visiting this outrageously easy and silly cache.

Pattycat
