The cache is at Indian Pools which is a short family type hike from the parking area. The trail is a gradual climb with a few granite rocks to hike around.
Indian Pools is a great family hike destination in the Huntington Lake area. Tne pools are found on Big Creek and the trail cam be accessed from the Sierra Summit parking area. Park at N37 14.107' W119 08.843 Bring some shorts for a quick dip in the pools. The cache is not accessable in the winter due to snow cover. Cache is an ammo box. Original contents are: Geoletter, log, handwarmers, toy motorcycle, playing cards, batteries, Sierra Summit sticker, pencil sharpener, & in honor of Smokey Bear's 60th birthday this August: Smokey decals, magnet, bookmark, pin, button, pencil and Smokey's 60th travel bug. Difficulty is high due to poor GPS signal at cache site.
