CRONOMER HILL PARK
This park is in two parts. The Cronomer Hill Sports complex on Gardertown Rd with lighted baseball fields and 6 tennis courts and the part where the cache is located off North Plank Road (Route 32). From the south take 9W (exit 10 off US 84) to Route 32 (North Plank Rd). The park is about a mile and a half North on the left. Look for mile marker 32/8301/3022. Sign to the park will be on your left at N41.32.477 W074.02.704 Follow the road in the park until you can’t go any further (about a mile). Park your vehicle. From the North where Route 300 intersects with Route 32, follow Route 32 South about a mile to the park entrance. Sign is obscured by foliage so be alert to your odometer and GPS readings. Entrance is at N41.32.477 W074.02.704. Look for mile marker 32/8301/3023. Follow the road in the park until you can’t go any further (about a mile). Park your vehicle. Antenna support structure put up on Cronomer Hill for the Cronomer Valley fire department’s communications site. The site houses UHF, VHF and low band stations and repeaters.There is picnicking and hiking and restroom facilities at this park.
PARK CLOSES AT DUSK. Would not visit this site alone. You’ll want to share it with someone anyway!
The park closes for the winter from November to April.
