Geocache Description:

Nearest sensible parking is at N52* 38.901 W000* 18.076 Start the walk with a 'kiss'

***warning***
Lots of stinging nettles around throughout late spring and summer so wear long trousers and take a lightweight jacket with you. (OR you could just send the kids in for it!!) ;-)

Please ensure the cache is tucked away, I know it's very tempting to just throw it back! (After many people placing back the cache away from its proper position, probably due to the nettles, the cache is attached by a black cord to a root, please DONOT UNTIE just take out the internal box.

The walk (0.5 mile)to the cache is alongside the River Welland, the one that runs through Stamford for any of you that have done the Stamford Taurus.

On route for those brave people(usually the children!) there is a lovely 'beach' area caused by the rivers meander, so bring a towel, take off your shoes and socks and have a paddle, children...bring your pond dipping nets too.

This place is great for dogs.

See if you can find the 9 'sets' of bridges...there are 9 but the 9th is tricky. It is in full view without having to endanger yourself by getting wet or stung, you just have to position yourself correctly.

I regularly trash out but if you think it's looking grubby please email.
