This cache can be found by canoe or by
walking the BLUE trail of the Sylvan Solace wildlife area.
The trailhead can be found off of Pikard Rd, from Winn Rd.
There is a great parking lot at N 43 36.686 W 084 56.388 and
it is a free lot area.
You can hit this cache with the Sylvan Solace Wildlife Trail
cache,#GCJ32N. People hitting that cache were asking, "Where is the
water?" Well, here it is.
No Pets are allowed in this wildlife area.
Notice the nice Red and White Pines planted at the start of the
trail. Too bad they are in rows, though. The rest of the hike is a
good thick mixed Michigan forest.
This cache is very close to the trail and the river. Please rehide
the container good, and watch for river traffic around the bend. I
saw six deer and two canoes while placing this cache! There are
more deer here than people!
There is a first finders prize of four instant lotto tickets. Lots
of other goodies in there too. I have left a new Travel Bug here
too to start off this cache. It is a good size ammo box. Please
trade fairly. At the top of the hill, there are two small benches
to log your entry and enjoy your visit. (Enjoy the view and the
quiet.)
The trail may be closed during rifle hunting season.
