Not Another Cemetery Micro Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Neos2: Can't seem to get this one settled. Between busy people and so forth, it's probably best to archive this one. If I ever get together with the land manager, I'll put another out in this cool place. Thanks to all who visited while it was here.

Geocache Description:

As the name says, this is not another of those micros in a cemetery, but you can still park almost next to the cache. Please park on the paved road to search for this cammo covered tupperware container. Cemetery closes at sundown or at 8 pm-whichever comes first!

Walnut Ridge Cemetery, located at 2421 Hamburg Pike, in Jeffersonville, is probably the largest cemetery in Clark County. There are over 16,000 burials, and the superintendents have records dating to at least as far back as 1875. This is still an active cemetery and is meticulously maintained, although most of the new burials are located on the opposite side of the road from what locals think of as the main cemetery. There are many beautiful old stones, regal family crypts, and unusual momuments on the grounds. If you have time to linger, you will enjoy the interesting assortment of flora and fauna in the area. The view toward the river is breath-taking, especially in the fall when the trees are beginning to turn colors.
  • The cache is temporarily too small for trade items--a larger replacement container will be back out there soon. The hint below is a complete spoiler.
