Geocache Description:

This is one of two caches which I have placed close to Milltown Malbay (The other placed at the cliffs of Moher is now archived due to theft).

THIS IS A BOOK SWAP CACHE, PLEASE ONLY SWAP BOOKS FOR BOOKS OF EQUAL WORTH

 Hidden away just behind Milltown itself are the ruins of Kilfarboy church. This place is home to many interesting tombs & monuments, aswell as a shrine & holy well. (Quote from Clare Library - "The place was probably founded by St. Lachtin or Laughteen, to whom its well is dedicated. He was either the friend of St. Senan in A.D. 550, or another of the name who died in A.D. 622, probably the first. It possibly got its name from the pass of Bealach Feabrath, where, in A.D. 740, was a monastery which was subsequently governed by a bishop named Cormac, who died in A.D. 837.")

Park at the stated coords. From here make your way to the church gate, which if you do not wish to, you need not pass (either way, please show respect for obvious reasons). From this point you will see an aged stone, engraved with the following:

"This monument was erected in memory of Thomas Killeen who dep. this life, March AB, 18CD Aged EF years."

 Exchange the letters in red for the numbers on the stone & then use your answers to complete the final set of coords underneath the images below.

Once you have your destination, follow the track from the church back to the road and turn right. Now use the next path on your right to reach your goal. You may either walk or drive but the first is suggested as I am unsure if driving is permitted but this is up to you. Either way you should be greeted with fantastic views over the Atlantic and the West coast. As for the name of this cache, there are so many places begining with Kil around here! Have fun doing this one, & as always, please take care to replace the cache carefully! Good luck...
