You're all invited to Longview on October 17th! We're having a multicache Romp around town. Because of the extremely temporary nature of this multicache, we will be able to present the waypoints in unique, unusual ways. We are striving for pure whimsy, not difficulty.
Sound familiar? My last event had a much bigger turnout than I thought so I thought I'd do another event in the SW Washington area. As my wife and I were thinking of an event we came up with this idea. After working it through a bit I realized it had already been done. And it was a huge hit. So I talked to BumblingBs and she gave me some suggestions and we're going to have a Romp of our own down in Longview.
I'm not going to pretend I can do a job as fantastic as I've heard BumblingBs did but I'm going to try my best.
The city of Longview has some fascinating history and some very nice parks. What better way to show them off than with a multicache event that takes people to many of my favorite parts of town where they can find coordinates to the next spot.
Romp will start at my house at precisely 2:00 PM. There the first coordinates will be revealed and the group can get in carpools and go romping. Come a little early and spend some time visiting.
A number of the stops will be near actual caches so I will have printouts of them for you to take with you. No sense in skipping them as long as you're there anyway!
Afterwards, we'll have a BBQ with hamburgers and hot dogs and have a great time just hanging out. If you want to bring a salad or dessert you're welcome to but it is not necessary. Just bring a sense of fun.

SUGGESTED PARKING: I'd suggest you park on Nichols Blvd a half block from our house. More parking there and you'll be walking that way for the first waypoint anyway.
