The Liverpool Beat 2 The Searchers Traditional Cache
TeamElle: Unfortunately as I am no longer able to maintain this series I have archived it.
It has been quite a popular series and the locations are still worth visiting even without the caches.
Thanks to all those who have visited.
Colin

The Liverpool Beat caches are a series located in public parks in the Liverpool area to honour the Liverpool music scene. Parking is available at N53 21.843 W2 56.091 Just further down the road along the River Mersey is Otterspool Prom and a footpath to The Pier Head and Albert Dock, well worth a visit if you have time.
This cache is a 0.7l tub. It contains the usual items but also has part of a code to enable you to work out the co-ordinates for the final cache of this series. Depending on which order you find the caches, you may or may not need to complete them all to find the final cache. The codes are in Liverpool Beat 1 - 5 caches and consist of letters and numbers printed on the front of the logbook, which together will give the co-ordinates for the final cache, "The Liverpool Beat 6, The Merseybeats"
The Searchers were named after a John Wayne film. Their first single 'Sweets For My Sweet' released in 1963, reached number 1 in the charts and was followed with top ten hits; 'Needles and Pins', 'Don't Throw Your Love Away', 'When You Walk In The Room' and 'Goodbye My Love'. Their last major hit in 1966, 'Have You Ever Loved Somebody' marked the end of the group as a major force in the UK music scene.
