Dinner Party Disorder Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

Lactodorum: Hi, this looks suspiciously like the cache has gone. Could the owner please undertake a maintenance visit to check if it's there or not. In the meantime I'm archiving it but I'll happily unarchive it if/when it's found assuming it still meets the guidelines.

Thanks, Lactodorum

Geocache Description:

Dinner party disorder The cache is not hidden at the above co-ordinates, they are for a pub car park in Walton village, The pub car park is for customers only (good food) but there is also limited road parking. The official car park is ¼ mile further up the lane, follow brown signs, this costs £2.10 all day, well worth it if you intend to spend some time in the park. There is a shop, café, pitch & putt, crazy golf, playground, cycle museum and childrens zoo.

A well hidden micro so no swaps in this cache.

Two geocaching mates ‘Geocacher1’ and ‘Dawnriser’ were having a dinner party and invited 4 male and 4 female friends.  The proposed seating plan put themselves at each end of the table with four people down each side with no person sitting opposite someone of the same sex.

However when their friends arrived no-one sat in their allocated places and 4 seats which should have had men in them were taken by women.   The man sitting next to ‘Hopefully 1st’ on her right should have been sitting opposite where ‘Luckyfinder’ was supposed to be.   ‘Just-in-time’ should have been in seat 0 between 2 men but it was the person who should have been in seat 3 who actually sat there.   ‘Pooh Bear’ sat on the opposite side of the table to his friend ‘Jolly Cacher’ but not necessarily directly opposite.   Seat 3 wasn’t set for ‘Luckyfinder’ and seat 2 wasn’t intended for her husband ‘Duncachin   When she saw the chaos, ‘Dawnriser’ rushed to sit next to ‘Geocacher1’ and ended up on his immediate right.   ‘Bobbin-man’ sat in seat 9, 2 places away from where he should have been.   ‘Jolly Cacher’ was the only man who ended up sitting between two females.   The woman immediately on his right had her place setting immediately to the left of where ‘Jolly Cacher’ should have sat.  Catwoman’ did not sit in seat 7.   No person with the same initial was sitting next to each other or opposite each other either in the planned or the actual seating arrangements.

To work out the co-ordinates for the cache you will need to identify the name on each place setting and the name of the person who actually sat there.

If you want to confirm that you have the correct co-ordinates before setting off, e-mail us and we will verify if it’s right or wrong.  Once the cache has been found for the first time, if you get stuck and want a clue, you can e-mail one specific question.
