Located at a really neat State Park along the coast. Approaching from the beach is the easiest route. The park has a huge picnic area along a small creek and a path to a big beach. The kids love to play in the creek as it winds through the beach. One of the few free state parks with facilities.
This park has always been a favorite of my kids. The name has a history. When my daughters were 7 & 4 we came down here and they ran ahead of us on the path. They both screamed and stopped. When we got to them there was a huge slug in the path. It was about 6-8 inches long and as round as a garden hose. When the kids looked at it they said it looked like a rotten banana hence the name Banana Slug. Of course they had to look for more so we saw about ten more that day. When you put the cache back please put the anchor devices back in place. I am afraid that a big Oregon Storm might make it float away otherwise. You are looking for a smaller Glad storage container. I didn't have much to put in it so I placed some State quarters, a pair of Delta airline headphones and a snaky toy thing. Have fun. My kids and nephews beta tested it for me and found it fine.
