A pretty walk along the old Columbia River Gorge Highway.
********Parking at N45 41.409 W121 43.335********* This cache is only accesible from the eastbound side of I-84. If you are coming from Hood River you will need to go to Wyeth (exit 51) to turn around. The parking area is 2.3 miles east of Wyeth. There is a gated service road with quite a bit of parking but it is NOT a freeway exit. The exit can come up on you fast so be ready. Go around the gate and up the hill. Turn right at the crossroads on to the old highway. There used to be a nice carpet of moss to walk on but it went with the new trail. It is almost like a rainforest - lots of ferns and moss everywhere and very serene. The heavy tree cover makes GPS reception kind of dicey. Cache contains lots of goodies and Caching for Dummies TB. The cache container is a 2 in PVC pipe about 10 ins long.
