Geocache Description:

Granite City Radio Control Model Aircraft Airport located just north & east of Kimball, Mini-soda. You can drive up to the flying field and park in front of the picnic tables. Bring a snack and stay a while!

*** Not a good winter cache! No parking or activity when there's snow cover. ***

This is an extremely easy cache to find. Like #1 which is near the Wright Flyers Model Aircraft Airport at Monticello, we are encouraging fathers & sons to find our cache and then spend some time at the airport. Modelers flying here are mainly from St. Cloud. You'll find them flying their radio controlled airplanes and helicopters any time the weather is nice and winds are light. Look for a metal ammo box. It contains a log book, camera and some balsa gliders as well as other little goodies. Please take a photo of your party and write something in our "Guest book". Also, please come back here and let us know how many balsa airplanes are left so we can keep them stocked. PLEASE, for your safety, stay off of the runways and out of the pit area while the modelers are using the airport. "Happy Hunting and Smoooooooooooth Landings!" Jerry&Patty
