E: English translation thank you to "The Pride of Portugal"
This cache is at the "Berlenga Island" off the coast of Peniche, on Portugal's western seacoast. It is a seasonal cache as a result of the boat transportation only being regular throughout the months of July, August, and September (hence the difficulty score given to terrain). It's also necessary to hike quite a bit, always uphill, but after a 45 minute boatride rocking back and forth, it actually feels quite nice.

Após o seu desaparecimento, foi colocada pelo PH uma nova cache num outro local. Mas ainda na ilha, obviamente.
A Caçada
Devem ir até Peniche e deixar o vosso carro junto ao forte, os lugares aí não são pagos e o carro fica bem estacionado. A maneira mais fácil é apanhar o barco maior, chama-se Cabo Avelar, que também é a carreira mais antiga em viagens regulares para a Berlenga. O bilhete compra-se no porto, e na data de colocação inicial da cache custava 17 Euros, é um bocado caro, mas vale a pena. O horário é às 9:30(para esta hora é dificl comprar bilhetes no próprio dia) e às 11:30, com o regresso às 16:30 e 18:30 respectivamente.
Já na ilha, o vosso GPS já vos deve orientar, de qualquer forma, o caminho mais curto é por um caminho existente no alto do monte, na primeira curva da única "estrada" da ilha. Depois é só seguir o "bicho". Lembro uma vez mais que não é preciso sair dos trilhos para encontrar a cache.
A Ilha
Depois de explorar a ilha a pé, não se esqueçam de visitar o forte de São João Baptista (no lado oposto da ilha), que, apesar de albergar alguns turistas corajosos, pode ser perfeitamente visitado, excepto os quartos obviamente. Se quiserem pernoitar lá têm de combinar previamente com a Associação dos Amigos da Berlenga, antigamente as reservas eram feitas no primeiro sábado de maio, e numa manhã esgotavam os 3 meses. Depois, podem apanhar um barquito que vos leva a visitar as grutas marinhas existentes pela ilha, no regresso ficarão logo no lado inicial da ilha, quem quiser obviamente poderá voltar a pé.

After it disappeared, a new cache was placed by PH at a different location (but obviously, still on the island).
The hunt
You need to drive to Peniche. Park your car near the fort (free parking and the car will be safe). The easiest way to get to the island is to get on the bigger boat, named "Cabo Avelar" (it's also the oldest company providing regular trips to the island) You buy the ticket at the port, on the date of the placement of the cache the fare was 17Euro: it's a bit expensive, but it is quite worthwhile. The boats run at 9:30 (tickets for this run are hard to purchase on the day of) and at 11:30. The return trips are at 4:30 and 6:30 respectively.
Once on the island your GPS unit should guide you. In any case, the shortest route is straight up the hill, on the first curve off the only "road" on the island. After that, just let your GPS unit guide you. Again, it is never necessary to veer off the trails to find this cache.
The Island
After exploring the island at your own pace on foot, don't forget to visit St. John the Baptist Fort on the opposite side of the island. Although it usually houses some pretty sordid tourists, it is ok to visit, except for the rooms, of course. If you wish to spend the night there, you have to make previous arrangements with the "Association of Friends of Berlenga Island". The reservations used to be made on the first Saturday in May, and all 3 months would sell out that very morning. Afterwards, you can catch a little boat that does a small tour of the marine caves all around the island. It will drop you off on the other side of the island, or you can walk back, obviously.
