Geocache Description:

A short walk along Sand Point with excellent coastal views.

Sand Point can be reached along the coastal toll road from Weston-Super-Mare or via the village of Worle. There is a large free car-park situated at the start of the walk. The approach to the cache is via a series of steps and well-marked footpath which, unfortunately, is probably not suitable for push-chairs.There is a barrow at the trig point and the area sometimes is host to unusual migrant birds. It is also a good place for fishing and if you are lucky it is possible to catch flounder, eels, bass, mullet, and cod. There are some fairly steep drops here so take precautions with children and dogs. On a clear day there are really good views to Flat Holm, Steep Holm and the Welsh coast. The cache consists of various small items in a half pint tupperware type container.
