4 part tour of the 1862 Sioux Indian Uprising
O.K. History Buffs. Here is a 4 part tour of sites involved in the 1862 Sioux Indian uprising in central Minnesota.
You will have to identify specific numbers at each of the first 3 stops in order to figure out the coordinates of the actual cache at step 4 (It's a 2 and half quart Tupperware type container. The formula for step 4 coordinates is: N 4A-11.BOC W 9D-E7.6FG
The first stop is at the ACTON MONUMENT approximately 4 miles south of Grove City (coordinates above). This monument is at the site of the Howard Baker farmstead where on Aug. 1(B) 1862 the first killings of this bloody 32 day uprising occurred. (A) people were killed here. The monument was erected in 1(F)(G)9 .The second stop is the Manannah Monument (approximately 12 miles north at N45-15.224, W94-38.286) where on August (E)6, 1862 a battle occurred just west of town when (D) people were killed. The third stop is south of Forest City (approximately 11 miles SE at N 45-11.734 W 94-27.765). Just inside the rail fence is the Forest City Stockade Monument. Here on Sept. 3, 1(C)62 a stockade was quickly erected by townspeople. The sight of this structure frightened the Indians from attacking.
Now if you've filled in all the numbers represented by A thru G you should be able to find the cache nearby.
