Fountain Rock Park has a lot to offer, for a small
park tucked away in Walkersville. Features include lime kilns
with signs explaining their history, a nature center, a trout
pond open to the public, a beautiful water-filled quarry
encircled by a boardwalk, and playground. Take your time and
enjoy the park.
Fountain Rock Park is inaccessible when closed, so be aware of
the park hours of operation:
8:00 am - sunset
Please take the boardwalk to the cache and do not climb up or
down the hillside.
The cache is a small plastic box, completely concealed. If
trading, it will only hold very small items. Adjusted the
coordinates 5/30/05, with better accuracy from extensive waypoint
averaging.
