(Lyrics to the song "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)" by They Might be Giants):
"Istanbul was Constantinople
Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople
Now it's Turkish delight on a moonlit night
Every gal in Constantinople
Lives in Istanbul, not Constantinople
So if you've a date in Constantinople
She'll be waiting in Istanbul
Even old New York was once New Amsterdam
Why they changed it I can't say
People just liked it better that way
So take me back to Constantinople
No, you can't go back to Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople
Why did Constantinople get the works?
That's nobody's business but the Turks
Istanbul (Istanbul)
Istanbul (Istanbul)
Even old New York was once New Amsterdam
Why they changed it I can't say
People just liked it better that way
Istanbul was Constantinople
Now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople
Why did Constantinople get the works?
That's nobody's business but the Turks
So take me back to Constantinople
No, you can't go back to Constantinople
Been a long time gone, Constantinople
Why did Constantinople get the works?
That's nobody's business but the Turks"
Which brings us to: Istan-Bull, NOT Cachestashtinople... Just in case you might get the two caches confused, once again, this is Istan-Bull, not... This cache is designed to get you away from the city, the traffic on the freeway, and the exhausting daily grind of work. Ahh, work, that annoying thing that happens between caches. This cache is located at a secret dove hunting spot. It is so secret in fact that even the dove don't come out here. Actually, no one really comes out here much. The cache itself is a 2 quart rubbermaid container that originally contained: a log book, pen, beanz, a tan bull, a view master, coins, and other stuff, including a Jeep TB. Its hard to find these jeeps on pavement these days. The road to get to the cache follows the pipeline road from The West Mesa Industrial Park. There is also a way to get out there from I-10 from exit 132: follow dirt road after pavement ends. Drive around chain link fenced-in area to the next dirt road. Hang a right the the next intersection, just after the cinder block "building". One more right at N32D12.233;W106D55.315 and it is there on the next right. You might not want to take the family sedan to this one, as the roads can get sandy in spots, but your average truck shouldn't have any problems.
