Located on Mt. Patterson summit @ 11700 Ft elevation.
Cache is easy to find once you are at the summit, however getting to the summit is a challenge. ATV, small 4WD vehicle can drive within 10 Feet of cache. 2 wheel drive access to Lobdell Lake, and Desert Creek area (see Toyabi National Forest map), then 5 mile hike with 3500 Feet elevation change. Weather can be extreme, carry provisions and dress very warm. A jeep trail also starts on Hwy 339 @ Sweetwater Ranch.

Cache is placed in a ammo can, and protected by a rock cairn.
Contents include: New Logbook (original was removed by vandals
in July, 2007); dogtoys, and quartz crystals. Please sign the logbook and note if you took a crystal.

check weather forecast before visiting cache. DO NOT visit if lightning is predicted. the cache site is above timberline and subject to severe lightning strikes.
