Atalaya Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

m*sh: Hi everyone,
actually the cache has been muggled a second time. So we decided to archive this cache. Unfortunately the site has some attraction to the conejeros (rabbit hunters). And the dogs are taking away the stash... which leaves the conejeros unable to put the stash back into place even if they would read and understand the stash notes in three different languages...

I will think of making a virtual or something else, because it is really a rewarding place.
And - of course - we are really sorry, that the TB is gone as well.

sorry for the inconvenience
happy geocaching

'Atalaya' is the spanish word for watchtower, and so is the name of the volcano where we hid this stash. When you're there, you'll have a great view on Lanzarote, the Timanfaya-area and Fuerteventura as well.

The peak of this volcano is only a few minutes from the cache-site and worth a visit. The cache site itself is nearby one of the craters of this volcano and we hid the stash under some rocks in a similar manner as our Magical Mystery Sunset - Cache. It is hidden beneath a stone and additionally camouflaged by other stones. But you should be able to see the cache without turning around any stones.

[Though you might find a chain that prevents cars from going up this mountain it is perfectly legal to access the peak by foot. The route up is also described in many Lanzarote-guides]

Please leave the hideout as you've found it.
