Interested in getting your homework done early? Download the quiz in Rich Text or ASCII Text Format.

"OK class.  Settle down, get in your seats, and pass your homework to the front of the row."

"I trust that you are all eager to get on to our field trip about satellites today."

"Yes!"

"OK.  First, we'll need to review your homework and the chapter on space.  Let's see...  Who can name the Zodiac constellations?"

... dead silence ...

"Nobody, eh?  The answer is on page 113 of your textbook.  Next question....  How many rings does Saturn have?"

"Ooh Ooh!  Ooh Ooh!  Me!  Me! Me!"

"OK, Billy.."

"Two."

"I'm sorry, but that is not correct.  All of this was covered in last night's homework assignment.   Judging by the size of the stack of papers, I trust that at least most of you have completed your homework?  Apparently it's just not sinking in.  You don't need to remember this stuff forever, just until the test, and then again for the final exam.  Since it seems like most of you suffer from short term memory loss, it's time for a pop-quiz.  Once you take the quiz and you all ALL pass, then we can continue on to our field trip.  Who wants to help me pass out the papers?"

There you have it.  Before you can head out for the field trip, you will have to complete the quiz below.  None of the questions are particularly hard or intended to be tricky.  Once you have completed the quiz, bring it along with you to the field trip area at the coordinates posted above.

You will need your quiz answers to complete the field trip adventure and to get full credit for the assignment.  This is an open book quiz, and you are encouraged to use any and all resources available.

Your field trip adventure consists of four micro-caches that will lead you to the final cache -- a 9MM ammo can stuffed with all sorts of cache themed goodies.  To assist you on your adventure, some of the micro-caches are designed in such a manner that they may be easier to find in the darkness. When hunting the cache, you can expect to hike just under a mile both in and out.

The official class field trip will be held after dark on October 9, 2004.  If you are unable to make the field trip, you are welcome to try this cache at any time -- day or night, on any day you wish.

If you need clarification on a question or would like to check your answers before going on the field trip, please contact me through the geocaching.com email link above. I'll be glad to help out.
