Where? Traditional Cache

A nice hike through a forest not far from Cashiers

The hike is about 0.7 miles round-trip and is pretty easy. (Check the Old Pitchfork page for total distance if you try that cache first.) Parking coordinates are N 35 06.100 W 083 05.662 -- here you will find the gate pictured; you get here off of Cashiers School Road not far from the Methodist Church. This is private property -- please place a note on the dashboard saying that you are geocaching with permission of the owners. The "No Trespassing" signs at the front gate may make you think twice but geocachers DO have permission to be on the property. A cross-country route for horses has been established so keep an eye -- and ear -- out for them. (And their droppings.)

I recommend that you do the Old Pitchfork cache first and leave this cache for the return walk. Trade Up, Trade Even, or Don't Trade. I hope you enjoy your stroll through the forest!
