Geocache Description:

On land owned by my wife in Alamance county!

The Thompsons came to southern Alamance County approximately 250 years ago. Lonnie Thompson was the youngest of his family and had nine children, of which my wife is the middle child. This 450 acre farm was in their family for over 2 centuries. Now this cache is a memorial to Dot's parents, on her 5.63 acres. The pines had to be cut to our chagrin since they were being killed by an infestation of beetles. The land is growing up no in weeds. The cache is an ammo can hidden in a normal way. It has numerous items including two condenser-point devices, a magnetic butterfly, and numerous other unusual items.Parking co-ords: N35 57.394 W079 21.534
