About 1/2 mile south and east of this cache is the parking for the Ross Prairie Trailhead which starts along the fence line behind the restrooms. There are trails for horseback riding and a camping area. The Ross Prairie State Forest Hiking Trail is on the West side of the road. Both of these hiking areas contain caches. If you are into both hiking and caching this is the place to go. I would suggest taking along water, bug spray, a hat and sun screen. Also, I would suggest that some type of walking stick would be helpful while hiking to the caches.
Be sure to look for the benchmark about 15 feet away from this cache
