Geocache Description:

This cache near what is left of officially the largest Burr Oak tree in the state of Texas. I found this spot while hunting in 2003. Unfortunately the tree had already been cut down before I got to see its full beauty. From the stump and large parts of the tree that are still there you can get a sense of how large this giant was.

The tree is located at the end of a nice .71 mile long trail on public land not far from the Red River. There are about 3.4 miles of ruts from the back road. You shouldn’t have any trouble as long as it’s dry.
