Geocache Description:

This cache is very near a remote but popular trailhead adjacent to the "Bear Diversion Dam" deep in the Sierra Nevada backcountry. A high clearance vehicle allows access to within 100 yards. Walk-in is 2.2 miles over a spectacular jeep road. The funky Mono Hot Springs resort is nearby if you choose to overnight.

The cache is in a "cup-size" tupperware. When established it contained (barely fits too):
o Note paper but no pen.
o Brown bear
o Polar bear
o Polished granite geode "touchstone"

This is our favorite trailhead and it would behoove the hunter to walk upstream 1/4 to 1/2 mile (or more) from the cache site for a picturesque and idyllic trip beside one of the prettiest streams in the mountains.
