Geocache Description:

free parking at N50 52.411 W000 58.523. From here carefully cross the road and enter the "other" park. GPSr's can be started from the car park or across the road. On the way you will find that your heading for a wide sweeping staircase before turning right. You will also see a magnificent beacon where the namesake of the park had his for celebrations. walking is on well maintained paths and has wonderful views. cache used to contain the usual, mini frames, fridge magnets and a four pack of AA batts with some toys keeping them company. This has all changed now and there are other "goodies" in there!I have now updated the terrain difficulty just because of the dry(?)weather we're having, wellies might be advisable in one or two places due to the tree felling operation. For everyone who has enquired about the "box" it's a French Army medical case-you might be able to get one at Sabre Sales, Castle Street, Portsmouth;or one of the usual ones. This was supplied by Dave Patterson, Head Ranger at Staunton-cheers Dave!
