POISON
LAKE
The Urban GeoGadgets Micro Series Adventure
Continues.
really it's three small
caches.
While doing research for his next geogadget Edward Lowe found a
place where he felt at home. A hidden place of algae covered
sloughs, lichen covered trees, and stagnant water, the Poison Lake,
an abused forgotten landscape. Ducks, geese, fox, beaver, coyote,
raccoon and small birds make the Poison Lake their refuge in the
urban landscape. In the secret ohno laboratory Edward Lowe has
produced the new and amazing geogadget #26. This special geogadget is the
instrument you need to establish the location of the Poison Lake
cache.
Edward Lowe has hidden geogadget #26 in a cache.
I have hidden a clue so you can find Edward Lowe’s
geogadget #26.
Near the above coordinates there is a pump station building.
Find the pump station sign and record the six digit number on the
sign.
The first 3 digits = Y
The last 3 digits time 3 minus 5 = Z
Go to the coordinates above. There you will find an unexpected
object, Object X.
Y feet from Object X on a magnetic bearing of
Z degrees there is a cache with a clue. Use the
clue to find Edward Lowe's geogadget #26.
Once you have retrieved the geogadget you will have to
excogitate the coordinates to the Poison Lake cache. When you have
started your journey to the Poison Lake there is only one way in
and one way out.
Warning beavers are not the best loggers. They sometimes leave
standing snags. I have not seen any standing snags in the area of
the cache. Beavers are active in this area.
Don’t swim. Don’t eat the fish. Don’t
drink the water.
Poison Lake don’t go
in!
January 2, 2008 UPDATE: Due to the
eco-disaster created by the transient’s camp I have moved the cache
final location. All clues and gadgets are in place and reflect the
new location.
Please take only one geogadget and if you
take the last one shoot me an email. Be sure to save your
geogadget. It will be used in future gadget caches.
Good luck.
