Tanks A Lot! Mystery Cache

This cache has been archived.

GeoLibrarian: Sounds like the tree at the final stage has been hacked up. Thanks to all that found this cache. We'll try to get something else in the cemetery one of these days. It is a great place to visit!

Geocache Description:

Tanks A lot!
Can walk or drive. Under one mile total walk. If you find a washed out stage two, look again. The new stage two is a pill bottle.

This is a multi-stage cache that will not take too long. It is located in the Miami Cemetery. The cemetery was designed by famous landscaper, Leopold Weltz. He graduated from the Government Botanical Garden in Berlin and Heidelberg College. His most famous achievement as a landscaper and gardener was the Imperial Garden of Alexander III, Czar of Russia. In his design for the Miami Cemetery, he included at least one of each tree that is indiginous to Ohio. Much of the orginal landscaping is intact and many of the old historical trees have survived.

1. The posted coordinates will lead you to a tank. You will need to find the serial number on the tank. The serial number is stamped on a silver tag (similar to tags on your appliances) and it is dated 10/87. It is 5 digits. (It is not as hard as it sounds!)

The serial number is 5 digits. They are A B C D E

2. To find the second stage use the serial number to plug into the coordinates:

N 39 3A.3B(5+A) W 84 C(D+E).D5(D+E)

3. The coordinates to the final resting place are in stage two.

******Until I get down there - the final coords are -
N 39° 31.281 W 084° 04.133 Make sure to take a walk around the cemetery.
