Geocache Description:

After almost five years, the "Zodiac Series" has been a successful and satisfying experience, but I feel the time has come to open up these areas for new challenges. Therefore, each cache in the series will be archived on the fifth anniversary of its publishing date. Many thanks to all those who have, and will, visit!!

"The Zodiac Series: CAPRICORN" will be archived on October 14, 2009

CAPRICORN

December 22 - January 20

* Ambitious * Confident * Patient *

Capricorn is a earth sign, ruled by the planet Saturn.

===================================

The Zodiac Series is well suited to geocaching since the sun, moon, and planets that follow their own paths through the fixed constellations are known as "the Wanderers".

This is a thirteen part series of "stand alone" caches that begins at the Southern Terminus of the Bruce Trail in Queenston, Ontario, and works is way northward. All caches are accessible from the Bruce (no side trails or loops). Under the lid, and on the first page of the log book of the the first twelve caches, you will find a number and either a "N" or "W" designation. Be sure to copy down these "codes" accurately if you wish to locate the thirteenth cache.

=================================

Capricorn is the tenth sign of the Zodiac, and, therefore, the tenth cache in the series.

The Bruce Trail entrance that leads to Capricorn is located on Ninth St. at N 43 06.765, W 79 19.528. I would recommend using this starting point and locating "Capricorn" and "Aquarius" on a single hike. The entrance to the trail from the other end is at Louth Conservation Area, and would be a VERY long walk (Trust me, I know). The trail is hilly and rocky and can be slippery during inclement weather.

The cache is located about 20 metres off the trail in a space between two rocks and obscured by another.

Good Luck With The Rest Of The Series!!!
