Between Red Rocks and McGahey Brook, there are a number of
look-offs to view the bay of Fundy coast. Surprisingly there are
two short trails leading to views on the other side of the trail.
This cache is along one of those trails. It may be hard to get
accurate satelite readings so you may need the hint. What we can
say is that it is not down the hill. Cache is a large white tobacco
container.
This cache can be done as a day hike. A few options are
available. Check the park
website
for maps and descriptions of the trails. You can walk to the cache
from the Visitor Center and then return or continue on to McGahey
Brook where you can access the beach and return to The Visitor
Center along the beach. This loop is described on the park website
as the Fundy Ridge Trail.
Another alternative is to do the McGahey Brook Canyon Trail to
get the cache. The description on the website is based on starting
the hike at the visitor Center, but the loop can also be accessed
from the campground on Eatonville road.
There are a few items in the cache including a small harness to
hold a water bottle. We also pplaced a log sheet, a pencil and a
sharpener.
