Geocache Description:

Lanyon Homestead provides a wonderful, true to life, look at the way we were. Built in 1859, the homestead has been fully restored, and now houses exhibitions about history and rural life. All children, particularly those learning history at school, will be fascinated as they walk through the homestead. Visitors can also explore the original separate kitchen, dairy, stable and storehouse, and the beautiful, rambling gardens. After wandering around, sit and relax a while in the homestead cafe.

The homestead, gardens, outbuildings and Nolan Gallery are open 10.00am to 4.00pm Tuesday to Sunday and most public holidays. You can access the areas to gather the required information free of charge, but you will need to pay if you want to enter the Homestead itself or the Gallery.Given this interesting place is so fun to explore, I have decided that to complete this cache, you will need to do just that! To start off with, go to the above coordinates. This will place you in the middle of the Homestead grounds. From here, wander about, until you have answered the questions below.

A = Number of stone chimneys on the Homestead.
B = Number of sides on the wooden floor blocks in the Horse’s Stall ÷ 2.
C = Number of ladder rungs in the Cool Room.
D = Number of grinding wheels in the Blacksmith Shop.
E = Number of convicts behind the Convicts Quarters.
F = Number of shutter slats in the Stalls + number of fig trees in the orchard.
Now, the final location is at:35º 29.ABC, 149º 04.DEF
