Bring a Pencil
Take a pencil, leave a pencil. The old yellow number 2 pencil is just fine. Have one from the Air Force? A Halloween Pencil? Any pencil will do. Pencils are the theme for this box. The cache is stocked with pencils unwittingly donated by Larry.

One little wrinkle to this cache. This section of Skyline Parkway is closed from November 1st to May 1st every year which adds a bit to the hike. I would suggest bringing a bicycle to pedal from the barrier to the first stage after the road gets closed. Of course, after the snow flies the bicycle may be superfluous.
