Geocache Description:

At an old military cemetery.

Be sure to spend some time looking at the various gravestones in this cemetery. There are not only graves of military personnel, but also family members and Indians. Can you find the graves that are shown in the attached pictures? Did you note the graves of Indians? Were they scouts for the Americans or prisoners?

One hard to find Indian grave is a grave near the southwest corner of the cemetery simply labled "Unknown Indian."

The large trees near the cache are Black Cottonwood, Populus trichocarpa, one of the largest deciduous native trees of this area. Its bark is quite unique and is one of its best identifying marks.

The container is a small plastic box that snaps shut. Its hard to open and hard to shut, but keeps the cache dry. Very little room.I enclosed a pencil.

The cache is not buried, but is not easily visible. It may be covered, but nothing needs to be dug up to have the cache in hand.

Respect the property. Return the cache, and make sure it is secure in it's hiding place, and the lid is tight..
