Geocache Description:

This cache is located at a now defunct Virtual Cache. So those who got the virtual can now go and get a micro.

The title of this cache is a quote from a Monty Python movie that made light humor of the plague that ravished Europe in the middle ages. Those who study history in the Gold Country of California have also witnessed a plague which has ravished our history. Can you guess what that plague could be??

This is a wonderful little cemetery that has pioneers from the gold rush and before. In one corner, where the cache is, there is a plot of people from the town of Poverty Bar. While there were many towns called Poverty Bar in the gold rush era, this one is no more. With the flooding of Lake Camanche, EBMUD went on a huge scavenger hunt to locate all the known and unknown graves that were in the towns flooded by the new reservoir. Many graves were found and the occupants were moved and reinterred all over the state. Here you will find a few.

The cache is an altoids tin painted to blend, containing a frog, a note, a log, and a pencil. It was covered with duff and should be replaced as found, please.
