The Northern Light Multi-Cache

This cache has been archived.

Dweeblefart: My appologies to anyone waiting for this cache to go active again. I thought that I'd archived this months ago but I must have had another "senior moment". I no longer have the parts necessary to rebuild it, nor the energy to do so. It was fun making it and I appreciate all the wonderful comments I received from you cachers that visited it.

Happy caching to all,
Dweeblefart

Geocache Description:

The Northern Light

This is a multi-cache with a twist. There are only two caches involved in this, quite close to each other. The first cache will literally show you where to look for the second. There aren't any coords for the main cache, you'll just have to figure that out for yourself when you get there.

This is the cache we won at the Cool Coastal Retreat Event in the summer of 2004. I wanted to make this cache just a wee bit different.

The pull-out from Hwy 101 is at coordinates N41 36.439, W124 06.202 (west side of hwy). It's an easy walk (no major ups or downs). Follow the trail to the cache area. I opened up the trail on June 6, 2006 so access is no problem. If you have small children with you, keep a close eye on them. The main trail stays away from the cliffs but don't let them wander. Also, shorts and sandals aren't recommended - there are some nettles along the way, though I've knocked down most of them along the trail. No problem with long pants.

If you're not familiar with what they look like here's a picture...

Don't mess with them, they're not people friendly!

It's a pretty spot with some nice views. If the tide is right you may see some seals basking on the rocks below.
I even got to see a Great Horned Owl on my way in to plant this cache. (On the way out too, he was still there).

I won't tell you what's in the first cache (it's a secret). The main cache contains all the regular stuff.

Note: When you re-hide the first cache please don't make it too hard to find. After all, the fun is in using it to locate the main cache. Also, when you log your find please don't give away the means of locating the main cache.
