Geocache Description:

You must watch the recovered footage of a night caching adventure gone bad to find the lost cache.

What started out a simple night caching trip turned into a series of mishaps that saw the cache box move from from it's original location to an unknown location deep in the nearby woods. In order to find the cache you must download and view the recovered footage of the macabre events that took place that Halloween night. Below are some stills from the film. You can download the 150MB MPEG file of the footage at the bottom of the cache description page,

You must reconstruct the events as they took place and follow in the footsteps of the doomed cachers as they fall prey one by one to the evil lurking in the nearby woods. It may be a good idea to take notes of key landmarks and dialog in some scenes that may indicate some semblance of direction and whereabouts. The posted coordinates are where their vehicles were recovered (you may park there if you wish) and not those of the final cache itself. Beware of what may still walk in those woods!!

Once you have downloaded it you may require an update to your media player of choice to view it. It has been tested with Microsoft Media Player 9 and may require you to also install the updated codecs. Email me if you have a problem and we'll start a FAQ for later users. If you do not have high speed and wish to do the cache, email me and I will most likely be providing a special container near the posted coordinates with copies of the movies on CDR. Linux users, let me know if you had any problems as well.

You can view the 150 MB MPEG file of the film online here. Or View it on Youtube here.

Special thanks to Hook, GrizzlyG, SouthCentral, Tripper, Khanya and P-Dub for the 3 hours they spent out in the woods that night, as well as 'the big guy' for helping me host it at first!
