Geocache Description:

Located in a Nature Park off one of the many hiking and cross-country ski trails. Container is an ammo box.
Will be a challenge with snow on the ground.

This is a park that our Boy Scout Troop 598 from Hales Corners camps at at least once a year. Last spring, we conducted a geocaching outing here, hiding over 35 temporary caches. This is one of the hiding spots that we used as a temporary cache. Socko helped us with this hide and the other temporaries for our outing.

In addition to me, geocachers in our troop include Uncle Fun, Lost Boy Scout, and Dr Edd (adults) & Psycho Psnooper, Boy Wander, and Corbor (Boy Scouts) & Flying Objects and James Bond Jr (Cub Scouts).

We nicknamed this cache "Leave No Trace" because it is one of the fundamental principles of Scouting. It also directly applies to Geocaching. Here's an exerpt from the BSA website:

"Instilling values in young people and preparing them to make ethical choices throughout their lifetime is the mission of the Boy Scouts of America. Leave No Trace helps reinforce that mission, and reminds us to respect the rights of other users of the outdoors as well as future generations. Appreciation for our natural environment and a knowledge of the interrelationships of nature bolster our respect and reverence toward the environment and nature."

Enjoy this park. You'll find many winding trails - perfect for hiking and cross country skiing. Our troop has also used the Adirondecks for winter camping. You'll probably stumble on these structures if you visit the Country Seclusion cache.

Share your Scouting experience in your log. Leave no trace of your hunt. CITO. Enjoy!
