Freshwater Break Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no response to my previous note, I assume that the cache is not going to be repaired or replaced, so I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden from general view. Be prepared to descend a short but not overly steep slope with some slight tripping hazards to watch for.

You are looking for an ammo can, that is hidden in such a way as to make it blend into the background of its home. As the location is one lots of people pass by, it will pay to be careful not to reveal its location to non-geocachers. Also, as this is in a hilly area, getting good readings on GPS may be tricky. Don't try this too early or too late as you won't be able to get to it, the hours are 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. daily.

Contents of the cache at placement:
  • Two envelopes of instant soup if you are hungry
  • Two shiny silver "C" clamps to help get a grip
  • Two clothespins ... in case you need to dry off :-)
  • A chewy for the doggie geo-cacher waiting in the car
  • An eyeglass repair kit to make seeing believing
  • A life preserver with an anchor in case you fall in
  • Dice to roll and try your luck ...

A log book is in the cache as well, and a couple of pens to use in recording your visit.

There are some fun things to do here, including going for a swim (when the weather is right), and there is a picnic area as well, so bring a lunch and take a break while here. NOTE: Signs say no doggies allowed in some parts of this area ... but they can wait in the car for you.
