Sinbad's Cure Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

CTReviewer: Greetings from Geocaching.com

I have been looking at caches in the area that have been temporarily disabled for a while now and it looks like your cache has been under the weather for some time. While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time I don’t think we can do so any longer. Therefore, I have archived this cache. If you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.

When repairs to this cache are completed and it is time to have it reposted, it will be no problem. Just drop me a note and let me know the GC waypoint number of the cache or better yet, the URL of the cache page. You will still be able to access your cache page just as before by going to your “My Cache Page” and clicking the link of your cache.

I will be more than happy to take a look at your cache again to see if it is still is within the guidelines of the Geocaching.com website for cache placement and posting.

I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.

Thanks for your understanding,
CTReviewer

Geocache Description:

Located in Southington's Panthorn Park on their trail system. A nice place to bring the kids.

Parking and trail head for this cache can be found at N41 34.336, W072 54.755.

The end of the trail that leads towards the cache is a work in progress by a local eagle scout project. You will notice several bridges and benches they constructed. There is a stream which makes the area pretty wet after rains and in the spring. Just past the cache is a nice little lookout point with bench. From here you can either take the same trail back or bushwhack towards the trail entrance. Be advised that you will walk through wet terrain if you bushwhack.

Cache location was waypoint-averaged 100 times and is a 50 caliber ammo box. Please re-hide as well or better then you found it.

This cache is the travel bug home of Mini Mike, Mini Tim and Sinbad's Cure.

Both the cache and travel bug of Sinbad's Cure are placed in celebration of Sinbad7Seas' two year anniversary (November 1, 2004) of being cancer-free.

Be sure to check out other local caches, Centennial Cache and the 2nd part of SkyTrek CCTC - Panthorn.

Park is open sunrise to sunset. The park has 139.9 acres that includes a lighted softball field, tennis and basketball courts. It also has a nature trail, play-scape (which is handicap accessible), fishing pond, Little League Softball complex and Lacrosse fields. Haunted Trails is here around Halloween too.
