Whoever said close only counts in horseshoes never followed a GPS receiver through thick cover.
This cache is placed in honor of the greatest horseshoe pitcher in the history of the world. Ted Allen, a 10-time world champion, made history on July 26, 1955, when he threw 72 consecutive ringers. His record still stands.
This beautiful lakeside park, like Ted Allen, is an under-appreciated natural treasure. We've hidden within it a pretty easy three-stage multi. Bring your horseshoes, bring your skateboard, bring a picnic and bring your swimsuit.
Cache contains some lucky dice, a couple of decks of lucky cards, a lucky penny, some lucky key-rings and a lucky silver Kennedy half-dollar. Good luck finding it!
