The Event of the season, Dec 4,2004. Trout Creek Park, St Augustine at 10:00am-4:00pm. We will only be at the park till 11:00am so don't be late Paint or no smiley for you.
This is the 3rd Annual Nefga Caching for the Holidays Event for members of NEFGA. Everyone is invited to attend. It is not necessary to be a member of NEFGA to attend. I thought for this year we would return to the site of the first site of Caching for The Holidays and hopefully we will have more folks this time around. That first year we had 5 cachers show up. Last year was a fantastic success so let's see if we can top even that.
For this year The Federation has planned a special game for the event. Cachers are encouraged to form teams to participate for the grand prize and the traveling trophy. The rules for the games will be posted the day of the event. Here is what you will need to bring to participate: at least 1 Gps for each team, at least 1 digital camera per team. Each team must have at a minimum those 2 items. Now for the Games we will be playing. A Road Rally/Scavenger Hunt will be held after the initial meeting.
If you are planning on attending the event please sign the cache page, each team is automatically registered in the Road Rally/ Scavenger Hunt by posting a note to this cache page. The other rules for the games will be made available at the event.
Trout Creek Park will only be the meeting Place for the Event. The Road Rally/Scavenger hunt and Bigger or Better will end up in a as yet to be determined park in St Augustine.
ooops almost forgot the best part each person on the team MUST have something on their person signfying that they are a geocacher and from NEFGA. Sign, button, nametag, anything it just must be visible to the general public.
11/7/04 Update
Just to give a little advance warning on the Scavenger Hunt here are 2 of the Hunt items:
1. 25 Bonus Points to an team who can score a picture of their whole team along with a sign about geocaching on top of the Federation's Ft Mose Multi-Cache final stage.
2. Any team who can identify the cachers who were at the original Caching for the Holidays Event will recieve 5 points per team named. Hint that was not the name of the event.
Nov 18 Update
3. 25 Bonus points for any team who can score a picture on a Parade Float.
We also have a reporter and a photographer from The St Augustine Record scheduled to meet us at Trout Creek for a story and photos on Geocaching.

Alright the Targets have been set. There are 48 targets to be found plus bonuses.
