Geocache Description:

Cache description is changed on 27-03-08

Usefull information for Geocachers who want to find the cache in the winter: snowshoes can be rented at the ski shops in Nendaz for 19 francs and it's a wonderfull experience to do and very important, it's not difficult at all!!!

This cache is situated in the village of Nendaz. My parents in law have an apartment in this village, so every year we come skiing in the winter and walking in the summer and autumn. Nendaz is not only famous for the good skiing facilities in the winter but also for the Bisses. This are little water canals that transport water from a higher point to a village that is situated mostly on the same altitude but at the other side of the mountain.

This walk is along one of this Bisses. It's a wonderful easy walk of 7 km. Only the first part is steep but for short. We saw a lot of black squirrels running and jumping from tree to tree. I suggest to take something to eat and to drink. You can take a break at the Pra da Dzeu (see coordinates).
