This cache is a standard one gallon plastic jug. Starting contents are:
Timone/disney toy, cards, dishcloth, mini salt and pepper shaker, tissues, halloween keychain, haloween pencil, unicorn ponies, soccer ball, and Hot Chick TB. Just a little history:
You are seeing the remains of the boiler and hoist buildings the stack is from the stove used to heat the boiler which hoisted the copper ore. This area was the "B-SHAFT" of the Mass Copper Mine. There was a company Hospital at this site also. In 1899 the mines in this area merged and became known as Mass Consolidated Copper Mines. Many mines closed in this area in 1908 due to the low price of copper $.12 &.13lb. a man's daily wage was $3.20.There was a strike in 1912-1913, many more mines went idle because of this! Than ironically in 1914 with the starting of World War I, and the demand for copper ore the mines boomed for a short time, copper ore prices sored to $.50lb.The end of the War 1918, spelled the end of the mines. No demand for the copper ore. The Hospital than closed in 1919 ,it was moved to town,for the church as a sunday school, later to be sold and moved again as a private home.
