bblhed: While I'm not convinced that it isn't there any longer, I am quite sure that it is way too dangerous to try to get to the cache. The overgrowth is a mix of thorns and vines that are just wonderful for killing a cacher so even thought I hate to think that there might be GEO litter being left out in the woods, I am closing this cache down without retrieving the container because I can not get to where the container was when I last saw it.

Thank you everyone that found this cache, it was fun while it lasted.

Geocache Description:

A cache on a nice little trail.

It has been quite an odyssey to get this cache up and running so please be kind to the land here. I originally placed this on November 7th of 2004 and it took until April 1st of 2005 to get everything approved due to requirements of both Groundspeek and The Watertown Land trust. I am glad that I went through this process, it has given me a greater appreciation of what these organizations do to preserve the land not just for today but for all time. I put this cache together to be a night cache originally, but I was asked by The Watertown Land trust to remind people that they prefer that people use the trail only during daylight hours. So this is a daylight only cache please only attempt in daylight! I will be placing some CITO bags in the cache. You probably won’t need them here, but if you want to take one for use on another trail you can. This cache is placed on the Tedesco trail in the Watertown Land Trust. Parking is off the side of the road in a gravel paved parking area Near the trail head at N 41°33.862 W073°07.997 please park in this area because the entire road except the parking area and the trail head are marked No Trespassing. The trail to the cache is well marked. The final is just off the trail but you will have to take a “Shot in the Dark” to get to it, but like Ozzy says, it’s “One step away from you” (it’s a leap of faith). Be careful along your way, as the terrain gets a little bumpy in places. Also please note that there is construction going around all over the place here so if this cache lasts a long time there may be houses where there weren't houses before so keep to the trail. Added note: Some of you have been missing one of the best features of this property. After finding the cache, head to N41°33.981 W073°08.139 to see one really cool tree! you can follow the trail out from there back to your car.
