Geocache Description:

Regular Cache on Horsenden Hill

Our 2nd cache to the Hill Hunt caches is located near the top of Horsenden Hill. The hill provides commanding views over West London, including Wembley, Northolt, Sudbury, Harrow on the Hill and Greenford.

A popular place for kite flyers and for evening strolls to watch the sun descend, there is also a golf course nearby. Buried beneath it are two enormous water tanks (now defunct) which used to supply the surrounding houses- you can see the doors near the summit plaque. (Now burnt down)

The cache is based near Horsenden Hill park, Greenford, where there is access to acres of pleasant countryside and car parking. The park is bordered by the Paddington Arm of the Grand Union Canal, which offers the opportunity for picturesque local cruises or further afield to Little Venice or Hillingdon.

It’s a small plastic box.

There is a free large car park on the Hill. For a quick cache we suggest the parking at 51°32.824'N, 0°19.684'W or if you are more adventurous at Paradise Fields (free) near Westway retail park (McDonalds, Boots, Next, WH Smith and other peculiar stores) at 51°32.555'N, 0°20.446'W
