Geocache Description:

This journey takes you through the Lewis Farm Sanctuary near Suffield, Connecticut.

The Lewis Farm Sanctuary, an 85-acre preserve, includes a diversity of wildlife habitat, walking trails, a pond and Muddy Brook (which isn’t really all that muddy). This is another jewel of nature that has been saved via the efforts of the Hartford Audubon Society.

Caution: several sections of the trail will flood after rains; mosquitoes are thick in the summer; the bridge can get slippery in the icy season. The sanctuary entrance is at N 42 00.469 W 072 40.573. Leashed dogs are OK and it closes at dusk. This is a snow friendly cache. There is a letterbox in the area also.

Reminder: WISE CACHERS SHOULD WEAR BRIGHT ORANGE when in the woods around hunting season.

As always, enjoy the adventure!
