The mountain has several springs that feed Equinox Pond. The three main ones are Upper, Middle and Lower. The one just to the North is Upper that flows from 2800 feet, passing near the pond. Check out the spring on the Trout Lily Trail to see where it comes out of the ground.
- Park at the end of West Union Street
- Follow the Red Gate Trail to the bridge at the Trillium Trail
- Cross the Trillium Trail bridge and bear right up the Mountain Bluff Trail for a short distance
- Take the Robin's Lookout Trail to the cache.
The cache requires a 400 foot elevation gain. The reward is the cache and a fantastic view. It's just off trail and accessible in the snow. NO need for BUSHWACKING until the last 20 feet! If you do so your log will be deleted or you will have caused a landslide and possible injured yourself.
